My work explores the blending of representation and abstraction; figures play the role of vessels, etherial bodies entangled in the world around them. Landscapes serve as both physical and metaphysical environments and reflect a perception of reality.

Weaving between formalism and free association leaving room for personal interpretation. As cognizant creatures we habitually lay meaning on what we encounter. Some of this changes as we gain more experience and some layers provide the basis of our interpretations.

I savor the way living things collect identities and share themselves with others, making sense of the world out of light, sound, and texture.
